What options can I choose from to personalize my home?
You may choose your exterior colors from your brick or stone to your siding color, trim color and in some subdivisions your garage door color. You also have several choices for flooring, including carpet, vinyl flooring, tile, and/or hardwood flooring. In addition to that, you choose your countertop color and your light fixture color.

Where do I go to personalize my home?
You may choose your exterior selections with a Mandalay Homes, LLC Builder Representative at the Mandalay Homes, LLC office conveniently located at 4940 5th Street, Suite 2A near Catron Boulevard. Your lighting selections will also be made at the Mandalay Homes, LLC office. Your interior selections including countertops and flooring may be selected at Black Hills Interiors, LLC, a flooring center specializing in new homes.

Do I need an appointment to visit the design centers?
All design centers do recommend an appointment be made to ensure that you have personalized assistance. Our design consultants would like to give you the attention you deserve throughout your appointment.

How do I prepare for my design appointment?
We would like to recommend that you dress comfortably on the day of your appointment, so that you are at ease while choosing your selections. We would also recommend that you, the Buyer, attend the appointment alone, without friends, children or other family members. You will be making several decisions regarding your new home's interior and exterior. Our experiences tell us that you may find your appointments more enjoyable and rewarding without distractions. You may also want to prepare yourself by having an idea of what you like. Know the color schemes you like, and agree upon with your partner. Also, feel free to bring with you fabric swatches or pictures to ensure that your selections coordinate with your existing furniture.

What can I expect at my design appointment?
Our design centers focus on providing you the utmost in customer service helping you select options that will fit your needs and your lifestyle. You will choose all of the colors for the exterior of the home, including the siding color, trim color, brick or stone color and shutter color. You will also choose most of the interior colors, including the flooring, the countertops and the lighting. We can accommodate most any of your needs or desires when it comes to personalizing your home. There are many options and upgrades available for your home.

How long will my design appointment last?
You can expect to meet with the exterior color specialist for about 30 minutes. The interior selection process time varies depending upon the size of the home and how prepared you are for your appointment. Usually interior color selection appointments last about an hour for a smaller home and one to two hours for a larger home.

What are the advantages of buying a home I can personalize?
The cost of upgrades may be added on to the price of the home and the mortgage, so it is not necessary to use out of pocket money. Your mortgage interest rate is usually lower than other kinds of financing options, such as credit cards. Your mortgage interest is also tax deductible.

Products and workmanship are covered under builder and/or manufacturer warranties.

If you choose to upgrade later, you may potentially pay for the labor twice, and you may also have to pay a removal fee. Personalizing your home now also provides you peace of mind.

Should I expect to pay for upgrades?
You should expect to pay for minimal upgrades at the time of your appointment. However, you can add substantial upgrades to your home loan, as long as your lender approves of the increased loan amount, and the builder agrees to the changes.
