Worst Housing Slump in 50 Years Has Not Run Its Course

The current housing downturn is shaping up to be the worst in 50 years, and it has not yet run its full course, according to the annual “State of the Nation’s Housing" report issued on June 23 by the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University.
The Neighborhood Housing Services of the Black Hills will begin offering a new program titled "Neighbor Next Door." The program offers down payment and closing cost assistance to law enforcement officers, pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade teachers, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians who live in the community they serve.
